The renowned ballerina doubted that she’d ever be invited back into Bolshoi Theatre in Russia because she spoke away up against the practice
Legendary ballerina Misty Copeland addressed the backlash she received in December whenever she called out of the Bolshoi Theatre in Russia for dressing their ballet dancers up in blackface — a typical training in Russian ballet.

But, whenever she addressed our website it, she received backlash from those who managed to make it about her bullying young ballet dancers in place of exactly what it is actually about: blackface is rampant in Russian ballets.
“They’re (Bolshoi Theatre) among the biggest, many companies that are elite the entire world, they’re in Russia, plus they nevertheless perform in blackface, ” Copeland stated in the summit.
